Many people get freaked out when you mention the expression “computer internet security”. They instantaneously leap towards the assumption that it could only be completed by somebody well-versed in computer expertise or you must spend big money on computer Internet security software. This fear is totally unfounded and in fact there are many simple, good judgment things that anybody, with even a tiny understanding of computers, can do to help preserve their computer Internet security.

Never use your own name, birthday, street address or other personal information as a password. Anyone who knows you or has access even to common information about you can easily figure these out. There are even resources employed by expert computer hackers which will crack dictionary-generated passwords. The very best password usually consists of no less than eight characters, a mixture of upper and  lower case lettering, numbers and symbols each and every one randomly chosen. Although these types of passwords are difficult for you to remember, they are much more difficult for the hacker to crack as well. A method for you to remember these special passwords is to generate an acronoym using each of the numbers, letters and symbols applied. Identical idea as using the word “HOMES” to remember each of the Great Lakes- Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior. In addition there are software programs available which will randomly create passwords for you. The key thing is you have to discover one way to remember them whether doing it manually yourself or with a program do it automatically.

You probably already know that it not very clever to go online without some decent computer protection software installed. It is imperative that you run an updated antivirus program to block new threats.

In this day and age, where computers are being used for chatting, online banking, e-commerce or investing, it is essential to keep your computer protection software up to date all of the time.

Hackers more than likely will not actively target your PC while you are just surfing the net for information or checking your e-mail. Most, so called “real” hackers are just interested in breaking in to the servers of large corporations. They enjoy the kick of testing and displaying their computer skills, while not really interested in stealing data.

Cyber-criminals on the other hand, usually work in groups and are actively looking for personal credentials or information which they then later can sell online. Maybe you don’t consider yourself to be that important or rich enough to attract the attention of cyber-criminals.

That might be so, but your compromised computer is still of great use to them. They could use your e-mail credentials to start spamming other people and so on…

In my own experience I have scanned with almost all the programs i.e. registry clean software available in the market but most of them only just claim to be the best registry clean software or fixer. The story is just opposite and the program does not change much performance rather sometime it may create a problem to the computer system if it is not well tested or if the registry clean software removes any such entry that might be of use for windows. Thus please be aware of the fact that if buy any such program that is indeed the best registry clean software or it’s just an advertisement only?

A best practice we can follow while altering a registry value if it is needed by manually or with the help of any registry program, just take a backup before doing anything with it. Taking backup of registry will always be a best practice and safer in all the way. If in case any value gets changed, you may restore it just by double clicking on the back up you have created and it will be restored and overlap/revert the changes you have made or your registry clean software has made. I call it a safer way always.
